Description

****Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are approximately 30 restaurants now open, as well as a few shops including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at surrounding properties and throughout the island. Also, possible construction noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. The exterior of building #2 and the lanais will be PAINTED May 6- May 24th with temporary plastic to cover windows and lanais. Parking will be limited to spaces away from building. All elevators are working. The pool, tennis & pickleball courts are now open***

Loggerhead Cay #263 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo with a partial angled view of the Gulf. With a full kitchen and open living area, this unit can accommodate up to 6 guests. Relax and enjoy your downtime on the screened-in lanai that overlooks the serene courtyard and pool. This is a family-friendly complex with 168 units and a short walk to direct beach access. The owner provides beach equipment for your convenience. Loggerhead Cay complex amenities include: a heated pool, gas grills, pickleball/tennis courts and shuffleboard. Located only a short distance from the Sanibel Causeway as well as the shops and restaurants along Periwinkle Way. This is a non-smoking complex.

As always sanibel didn't disappoint. We come down 2 times a year. The property was nice and it's coming back. The bed was comfy. The whole condo was done uo very well. The people at sanibel holidays were as always great. We liked the location but the beaches were a bit crowded. But that's on us for going down around spring break. But as always we were on vacation so it really didn't matter.

The Condo was ready and waiting when we arrived. Everything was clean and the promised "starter supplies" were in place. We had been warned about the construction noise and associated traffic but it was easy to work around. We didn't try to leave when the roads were busy in the afternoon.
We loved our time on Sanibel and the accommodations added to our experience.
We look forward to our next stay!

Lovely location. Complex was well kept and offered wonderful beach access. One issue we had was the carpet in the unit. It needs changing. Unit was good size, some things a bit dated, but pics accurate. Couches and carpet could use a refresh. Overall a good unit, would be excellent with those couple changes. Management was great.

Unit was as described. Kitchen & dining are roomy. Really appreciated the beach chairs & umbrella at the unit. Though we did not use the beach towels at the unit, that was a nice perk as well.

We love this beautiful condo. It has everything you need and is a comfortable home away from home. We've stayed here 3 times. The decor is pretty and well kept and we found the mattress comfortable too~which is BIG! The grounds at Loggerhead are always beautifully kept. We enjoyed a lovely stay.

We had a lovely week escaping the Northeast at this condo. The community facilities are well maintained and notably more sound-proof than other places we have stayed. We loved enjoying the morning sun on the lanai and watching the sunset out the front door. A few minor maintenance items were quickly resolved (note: two of the best beach chairs were broken but there are still 4+ chairs available). Well stocked kitchen, comfortable furnishings (note: one of the chairs is a recliner), several jigsaw puzzles to complete. Beach was a quick walk from the unit. The only small downside was that the twin beds could use an upgrade.

We really enjoyed the Loggerhead Cay facility, location, tennis courts for pickle ball, pool and its grassy courtyard. This unit however is a little tired. The washing machine needs to be replaced immediately as the spin cycle is excessively loud. We couldn't carry on a conversation while in the unit - it could be heard in the parking lot two floors down! The smaller bedroom has peeling paint on the ceiling and one twin bed has a stain on the box spring. The smaller bathroom's shower had some black material (mold?) on the inside of the shower at the floor - so this needs either a deep cleaning and/or caulk removal and replacement. The kitchen's pantry has a rollout drawer that is broken. Overall, we really enjoyed Loggerhead, it's just that this unit needs some updating. We wouldn't consider this unit again unless some updating occurred.

When we walked in the door, we couldn’t believe how beautiful this condo is!! The furniture is so nice, the decor and colors are pretty and cheerful, and the whole place is in excellent condition. I was so pleased to find nice appliances and equipment in the kitchen. We Had everything we needed!

Our experience was good. A few things that might be taken care of are: removing cracked bowls, platter in the kitchen. The light outside the master bedroom did not work. The lamps on either side of the bed plugged into the outlet behind the bed did not work so we plugged them into the outlets beside the bed. Was this a fuse problem? The twin bed mattresses were not comfortable. The pool was great as one could swim laps.

This was our second year staying at Sanibel and our first renting a condo for a week. The location was perfect and development well maintained. Next visit we will rent another condo but will look for one a little less dated and a bit more "feel good." Loggerhead 263 was fine and met our needs, but clearly needs some TLC.

Our condo was amazing. It had everything you would ever want. It was like being at home without the resposibilities. Other than Red Tide beginning to move in, the week was amazing! The weather was great and we spent most of our time enjoying the beaches up and down the coast from Sanibel to Captiva. Loved the shops and grocery stores. The individual unit was very clean and well appointed. The condo complex appears well maintained and managed. Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbors. We could hear the people in the unit above walking. The unit above and to the right was was having new laminate flooring and baseboards installed. I guess this is all part of condo living but it was irritating to us. We will try to stay in top floor units from now on.

We had a great time. We stayed a week and loved every minute. It was a very short walk to the beach. We strolled the beach every day and enjoyed looking for shells. We also rented bikes and rode all over the island. We never ate a meal at the same place because we wanted to try as many places as possible and we were never disappointed. We found the condo very neat and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. This was a great place to relax and have some fun.
